The Wuwei Minqin Hongshagang Energy and Chemical Industry Concentration Zone (hereinafter referred to as the Industrial Concentration Zone) was founded in 2005, with an approved area of 641.85 hectares. In 2008, it was approved by the Wuwei Municipal Government as a municipal industrial park. In March 2018, with the approval of the State Council, the National Development and Reform Commission and six other ministries jointly issued the "China Development Zone Audit Announcement Catalogue" (2018 version). The Minqin Hongshagang Energy and Chemical Industry Concentration Zone was listed as a provincial-level industrial park, with leading industries such as fine chemicals and energy. 56 enterprises have settled in the park, including 20 industrial enterprises above designated size. The three leading industrial systems of energy, chemical industry, and building materials are forming. At present, the greening project of the "five vertical and six horizontal" main roads and channels in Hongshagang Town has been completed, the first phase of the Jin'a Railway Special Line project has been fully connected, the 330 kV transmission substation has been completed and put into operation, and the infrastructure of the park is gradually improving, with increasing carrying capacity.
